We worked with the cities of Newburyport and Amesbury to build a public health campaign aimed at a critical challenge – generational communication.
Data from North Shore communities shows that while 82% of their youth feel supported by parents, only 39% feel they have positive family communication.
That's a huge gap. We set out to fill it.
Our role was A – Z. Starting from scratch, we conducted an extensive research, strategy, design, and production program to develop an original campaign.
The result – Talk. A campaign for conversation.

Our first task was to develop a brand identity for the campaign.
“Talk”, the result of weeks of research and strategy work, felt like a simple yet powerful brand that would open doors for us to start a conversation.
To enforce our brand name and messaging, we designed a full visual identity complete with multiple logo lockups and secondary marks.
The brand was made to bridge the generational gap. It's something that invites teen attention while also encouraging adult participation.

The Talk Campaign brand came to life through design and production.
First, we produced a series of postcard mailers to be distributed across North Shore communities.
We set out to capture photography that felt authentic to the communities we were speaking to. Each photo tells a story of how the generational communication gap shows up in real life.
Key messaging points are paired with each photo, and our campaign brand identity brings it all together.

Finally, we produced a library of videos that support the campaign with voices straight from the community.
A long–form narrative piece serves as our campaign's anchor. We interviewed kids and adults in prominent North Shore locations to get their insights on the challenge at hand.
We produced additional narrative and animation-based videos to support the anchor piece and fill out the campaign.

The Talk Campaign was made to stress one big message: that communication is crucial, but it doesn’t have to be hard.
Campaign efforts will be staggered to support a long-term effort that will help families learn and motivate them to seek out additional resources.
Talk launched across Amesbury and Newburyport in early 2026, and will expand to neighboring communities in the future.
